They say more women lose hair when dieting (esp. crash dieting), but seems men who have genes for mphl worse?
if men already prone to androgenic alopecia, some experts say could set off and start, but still claim 80% are women who are prone to lose hair while dieting, how's that?
They say more women lose hair when dieting (esp. crash dieting), but seems men who have genes for mphl worse?
Women who crash diet are depleting their bodies of valuable nutrients which will cause the hair loss and seeing as a massive part of the female population is dieting constantly I can see how the figures add up.
For hair to grow you need loads of vitamins and minerals but as women love to diet and starve themselves of essential fatty acids/amino acids etc etc the hair will just start to fall out before it maybe would have if she hadn't been dieting.
GRRRR at diets!

that's correct

what?
the facts are that IF women are losing hair when dieting then it's a nutrition problem (they have either overstarved their bodies of nutrition like vitamins and minerals, or they have lost too too much weight and their bodies have balked, even some women who have lost too much weight stop their menstral periods and that's not a good thing to do).
I don't know what mphi is, however I do know that when men lose their hair it's because of heredity, illness or disease.
Some women, because of hormonal changes in the body when they are having babies, may lose "some" hair.
So you see, a lot depends on the hormones, heredity and nutrition.

I'm sorry, i didn't read your whole post... but....
losing hair during dieting is caused by a protein deficiency. If you eat the required amount of protein, along with plenty of vegetables, then you should be fine.
