I was told to continue to take my prenatal vitamins but they were so huge I would almost choke on them sometime if losing hair sounds familar how did you remedy the situation?
Did anyone lose their hair after childbirth I seriously have a receding hairline?
I didn't have a receeding hairline but my long hair was coming out in handfuls. I read that it can last up to 6 months after you give birth and it's normal for it to fall out. Women are always said to have thicker hair when pregnant because you don't lose as much hair as you normally do, so then for whatever reason when you're done being pregnant you're losing all that hair that didn't fall out like it normally would have.
I ended up getting my hair cut off. It was really long and I got it cut just above my shoulders (very short for me). The hair cutting lady kept asking me if I was sure I wanted to cut that much off. I said yes, I was sick of the shower drain being clogged with hair. It still fell out of course but it just wasn't as bad because it wasn't as long.
I also just wore it in a ponytail all day long (until I got it cut) that way I only had to deal with the hair at night when I took it out and when I took a shower, but then my hair broke off a lot up front from being pulled back so much, so now I have all this short hair that sticks up in the front it I wear it back now.

You are losing your hair because of the changing hormones. Your body has been doing everything slowly while you were pregnant so that it could take as much nutrients out of the food as it could. This slows down the normal hair cycle. What's happening is you didn't lose the normal amount of hair during pregnancy and now that you aren't pregnant all the hair you should have lost during pregnancy is being lost now. Mine never recovered completely but it will stop and most women have it grow back in fine.

yes this happened to me twice, unfortunatly other than taking the prenatals i couldnt find anyother remedy other than wait till it grew back. you can always style your hair differently to hide this problem.

I did but I really think that it was more of the stress than the baby. I found that taking my vitamins and just relaxing more helped

get more fruit and veggies instead of prenatal and you should be fine. It stopped for me, both times at 6 month mark. :)
