My hamster behaves normally, eats, drinks and wants to come out of his cage like always but hes losing his hair. If you compare him to my other hamster you can see the difference.

i think u should take ur little guy to vet ,we had a hammy that was acting fine but was rapidly losing fur.we noticed he was kinda getting smellier than normal even when cleaned cage daily.we found out he had a lump in his neck when we took him to see vet.he was euthenized that night cuz he had cancer he was only 1 years old.;[
Why do hamsters lose hair?
definately get him checked out at the vets. there could be a food allergy, or a skin complaint, such as mites.
indeed, if there is no bald spots occurring it could just be a seasonal moult, but if there is bald spots, it will need checking out.
however, if there is hairloss on his hips, male hamsters have scent glads there, you should see a dark spot on each hip if you part the fur and have a look. with age hamsters loose the fur there due to all the rubbing and grooming they do in order to scent mark, so it might be something as simple as that
good luck to you and your hammy :)
Why do hamsters lose hair?
Hamsters can sometimes get a condition called alopecia where they lose their hair and their skin becomes dry and scaley...other than that there is nothing else wrong with them it just looks bad...keep loving on him!
