do you think now i'm better than i was and off the medication my hair will grow back thick and long again? i get stressed but not like i used to. how long should my hair take to grow back? i have curly hair if that helps. do you think that those to factors are the reasons why i lost hair or do you think it was using straighteners too much that did it? i'm guessing it was both.

Hm, yea, it should probably return to normal. It will most likely take as long as it would to grow your hair long from when it's short, a few months - a year, depends on how fast your hair grows. You could try volumizing or thickening shampoo/conditioner, might help with the appearance of it and make you feel better?

I never thought of anti-depressants as the reason my hair has got thinner %26amp; shorter!

i take antidepressants and that is a side effect to some it should go back to norm i dont no how long it takes though

I think you are right a bit of both. Your medication would have certainly effected the condition of your hair and because the shafts woud have been a lot weaker due to the medication the heat and use of straighteners will have contributed to the thinning of your hair.

Try and limit the use of the straighteners and instead sip a glass of water each day adding two teaspoons of a good quality cider vinegar. After a fortnight you will soon see the difference.

Don't dispair. I have been there and worn that tee shirt... your hair will imporve once all the medication is out of your system. Keep smilling pal.

~x~ hi Hun I'm on anti depressants now and i haven't lost any hair or it hasn't got thin but i should guess that it will go back to normal after a while give it time, the best thing for you to do is ask your GP, they do shampoo and conditioner that thickens your hair give that ago. Good luck ~x~
