Talk with your local pet store or vet, they will give you a name of some essential fatty acid pills on the market. Or if you can get boys to eat food with a tablespoon of olive oil this can help with some of the shedding.

But also make sure that they are eating a good quality diet, and are healthy. Like many of the posts before have said. excessive shedding can be a sign of illness.

Sounds like a good brushing and a bath might be in order. Would you not comb your hair every day? It is the same thing. You need to help them with their grooming a little bit. And don't be surprised at the amount of hair you are seeing. This will subside over time and dogs always shed at certain seasons.

For short rottweiller coats you can get a textured rubber grooming mitt/brush that pulls out the loose hairs very well, a daily going over with one of them should polish them up nicely!
